What a beautiful sunny day.  Just back inside from trying to clean up the yard a little.  It is so nice to be outside working after baking earlier today.

 Yesterday, the nicest thing happened.  A wonderful customer dropped off a beautiful bouquet of beautiful roses and a thank you note.  I redecorated a cake for her that got messed up when she put it in her vehicle.  Oh, I just look at them and smile.  The roses (and the thought behind them) have brought me great joy.

 Pretty soon I will need to get supper ready.  Tonight is choo choos.  Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Here it is - the last day of October 2010.  Had a fun time decorating the 18th birthday cake today.  Had Kev help me as the intricate details of the cake were taking longer than I had planned.  Karissa had washed up the cake pans for me yesterday.  Karissa is my granddaughter and she is 7.  Brianna, 12, also my granddaughter, really helped me on Friday, even though she was sick.  Poor thing.  She played with Brandon until Aunt Michele picked him up for a playdate.

Today is another beautiful Fall day.  We (Becky and I) had gotten the wedding cake for today all covered in fondant yesterday.  Today all we had to do was put the beautiful chocolate ribbon around and add some gold details to the cake.  We delivered the cake to the US Hotel in Hollidaysburg.  The bride's grandmother, great aunt and I believe great grandmother were putting all the beautiful decorations around the dining room.  The grandmother also made the topper for on the cake. 

 This afternoon we are going to my aunt's 80th birthday celebration at the Olde Bedford Village.  I am looking forward to seeing all my aunts and cousins.  I wonder if they will have cake.

After that I will change clothes and go to the farm to take care of the chickens and turkeys.  We have approximately 130 chickens and 8 turkeys.  There is one chicken setting on 3 eggs.  It would be so nice if they hatch but I don't think they will.  We do have 6 or 7 roosters (one will soon be going into a pot if he keeps attacking!).

 It has been such a good day.  I hope you all are having a good...

Today is baking day.  We will get the pans all greased and wax papered.  Today is a good day to bake.  It is a little chilly. 

Made a fire in the fireplace.  Had it cleaned a couple of weeks ago and didn't want to get it dirty.  Fireplace Creations does an excellent job of cleaning it - it shines.
